Terms of use
Last updated 13 September 2026 · applies to helpmedump.com
Plain terms, written to be read. If any of this is unclear, ask us and we will answer in the same plain language rather than pointing at a clause.
Who we are
HelpMeDump is operated by Four Cents. When these terms say “we”, that is who they mean. When they say “a hauler” or “a company”, they mean an independent business listed on the site.
What HelpMeDump actually does
We tell you how your municipality handles an item, we show prices that haulers published themselves, and if you ask, we pass your request to a maximum of three companies you have chosen. That is the whole service.
- We are not the hauler. We do not collect, transport or dispose of anything. The contract for the work is between you and the company you hire.
- We do not take your payment for the job. You pay the hauler directly, on whatever terms you agree with them.
- We do not set their prices. Every figure you see was published by that company before it saw your job.
Quotes and estimates
An estimate range on this site is calculated from prices haulers have published in your area. It is a guide to what the work usually costs, not an offer, and we say so on the page. A quote from a named company is that company’s offer to you, and it is theirs to honour, not ours.
If a final price differs from a quote, tell us. We record what was quoted and what was actually paid, and that becomes part of the company’s public record.
Municipal information
Every municipal rule and fee on this site carries the source it came from and the date a person last checked it. Councils and cities change their rules without telling us. A fact stops being displayed automatically once it passes its freshness window, but between checks it can be out of date, so the linked official page is always the authority, not us.
What “verified” means here
It means a person checked that company’s permissions against the issuing authority on the date shown. It does not mean we supervise their work, guarantee their conduct, or accept liability for it. The full standard is published at /verification.
What we ask of you
- Give accurate information about the job. A quote priced from a wrong description is not a quote anyone can honour.
- Do not ask anyone to remove hazardous material that they are not permitted to carry.
- Do not use the site to harass a company, or to write a review of a job that did not happen.
- Do not scrape, resell or republish provider pricing or municipal data compiled here.
Where our responsibility ends
We are responsible for this website and the accuracy of what we say about our own service. We are not responsible for the work a hauler does, for damage or loss during a job, for a missed appointment, or for a dispute about a final price. Those sit with the company you hired, which is who you contracted with.
Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be limited by agreement, and in several places where we operate that includes quite a lot.
If something goes wrong
Tell us. We will record it, look at the company’s other outcomes, and act on what we find, including removing them. We will not take a review down because a company objected to it, and we will not pretend a pattern of complaints is a one-off.
Changes
We will update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top is the date of the version you are reading, and material changes will be flagged on the site rather than slipped in quietly.
